Job Description

Concrete Project Coordinator – Civil Construction

 

Maple Reinders Constructors is currently searching for a Concrete Project Coordinator to join our Civil construction division in Ontario. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects across the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario. 

 

As a Concrete Project Coordinator in our Civil division, you will have the opportunity to support our Project Managers in delivering heavy civil and industrial-type projects. In addition, you’ll support the project team with documentation, estimating, budgeting, and scheduling, while gaining exposure to various contract types such as Design-Build, Plan and Spec, and Construction Management. Your key responsibility as a Concrete Project Coordinator will be providing support to the Project Managers, Superintendents, Operations Manager, and the Construction Manager for contract documentation.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in timely and cost–effective completion of project and maintenance activities by:

    • Assist with surveying, layout, lines, levels, and verification of the work.
    • Preparation of weekly field reporting including daily reports and timesheets, labour/material/concrete/rental / equipment summaries, and weekly progress reports.
    • Field expediting of miscellaneous materials, rented and operated equipment.
    • Assisting in ensuring efficient and effective management of resources.
    • Assisting in the preparation of budgets and regular cost projection reviews.
    • Assisting in the set up and orderly management of project administration files.
    • Assisting in expediting project work via negotiated Subcontracts and Purchase Orders.
    • Attend project site meetings and sub-trade coordination meetings at the direction of the Project Manager and/or Superintendent and assisting in the expeditious completion of project deficiencies or remedial work.
    • Assist with document control (distribution of drawings & specifications) and preparation of Operation and Maintenance manuals.
    • Assisting in documentation for QA/QC.
    • Tracking deliveries of equipment and critical materials at the direction of the Project Manager and/or Superintendent.
    • Assisting in preparing payment requisitions and change management between Maple and the Client at the direction of the Project Manager.
    • Compiling site reports as requested by project team leads.
    • Collecting, interpreting, and analyzing data and trends to monitor progress and operations.
    • Identifying construction risks, communicating risks to the Project Manager and/or Superintendent, and participate in finding effective solutions.
    • Assisting in the logic work execution plan for equipment placement and methodology of the project concrete completion.

 

 Qualifications/Skills:

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in the construction industry ideally in form-work or self-performed concrete operations.
  • A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or a combination of education and industry experience.
  • Regular travel to construction sites across Ontario is required. 
  • Valid G drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle for daily job duties.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000/Year (depending on experience)
